The Tower Hotel is set amongest some of the most beautiful scenery in the Brecon Beacons, nestled at the foot of the Black Mountains. Conveniently situated only 6 miles from the famous book selling town of Hay-on-Wye with its literature festivals and 10 miles from Brecon, a town renowned for its annual jazz festival. Talgarth hosts a popular family festival in August, and the increasingly popular Talgarth Walking Festival is hosted on May Bank Holiday weekend.
The Tower Hotel was built in 1873 for the gentleman farmers to attend the livestock market, which still exists. Retaining many of its Victorian features, the Tower Hotel has been sympathetically updated with modern conveniences and boasts a multi Camra award winning public bar, licensed Carvery & Grill with home cooked food, roaring log fire, five large bedrooms and parking.
