The Tower Hotel is a family run hotel, licensed restaurant and public house in the small Welsh town of Talgarth
The Tower Hotel is a small family run hotel, restaurant and public bar in the mid-Wales town of Talgarth, at the foot of the Black Mountains in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The Tower Hotel is set amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in the Brecon Beacons, nestled at the foot of the Black Mountains. Conveniently situated only 6 miles from the famous book selling town of Hay-on-Wye with its literature festivals and 10 miles from Brecon, a town renowned for its annual jazz festival. Talgarth hosts a popular family festival in August, and the increasingly popular Talgarth Walking Festival (www.talgarthwalkingfestival.org) is hosted on May Bank Holiday weekend.
The Tower Hotel was built in 1873 for the gentleman farmers to attend the livestock market, which still exists. Retaining many of its Victorian features, the Tower Hotel has been sympathetically updated with modern conveniences and boasts a CAMRA award winning public bar, licensed restaurant, home cooked food, roaring log fire, five large bedrooms and parking.
We also have our own micro brewery. Visit our Rotters Brewery website.
The Tower Hotel is also situated on the Talgarth Hub of mountain bike routes, ranging from Level One Yellow through to a Level Five Black Route, the only one of its kind in the Brecon Beacons. Visit our Bikes, Bunks and Beer website.
Whether you're looking for an energetic activity holiday or a complete get away from it all break, The Tower Hotel is the place to be!
